Induction loop and infra-red systems for the hard of hearing

Induction loop systems, also called audio-frequency induction loops (AFILs), are an aid for the hard of hearing and are common in most public buildings to comply with the needs of the Disability Discrimination Act. They are a loop of cable around a designated area, usually a room or building, which generates a magnetic field picked up by a hearing aid.

Induction loops allow sound to be transmitted to the listener clearly without any distracting background noise.

Public address systems

A public address system is a distribution system with a microphone, amplifier and loudspeakers, used to play audio or address a large public, for example in shopping centres or hospitals.

We regularly supply, install and maintain public address systems at numerous venues including shopping centres, offices, hotels, hospitals etc.

Voice alarm systems

Voice alarm systems assist in the effective evacuation of an area or building during fire or other emergency. Voice alarm messages result in quicker reaction times than when a traditional bell is used. In an emergency, it has been shown that, people react without confusion or panic if they receive a clear, intelligible message, which are stored within a voice alarm system.

Disabled refuge systems

Disabled refuge systems are used in buildings that contain refuge areas and allows emergency services to be in constant contact with the people in the refuge areas who seek assistance.

Refuge areas are temporary areas of safety for those with physical impairments, which allow firefighters and other emergency services to communicate with one another during emergency situations.

Intercoms

An intercom is a stand-alone voice communications system for use within a building or small collection of buildings functioning independently of the telephone system. A typical intercom can consist of a call point at the entry and a phone type handset inside the property, which can be setup to open a gate or door directly from the handset. However, there are numerous other types of intercoms.
